A FounderDataing "Introduction" Feature

Wouldn't it be great if FD had an "Introduce" feature? (and also an idea center where I can post this and other ideas for FD :-). I know so many people from FD and introduce them to each other based on interests and needs. It would be easier if I can just do so through FD with the click of a button.

Sounds reasonable. Maybe the "introduced" could score the introduction to help hone their mutual sense of what they are up to? But keep it positive with something like:

_On target
_Interesting but a miss
_Maybe I should clarify my project for you

Interesting idea. I think FD should use http://featurekicker.com to determine if enough people care about the "introduce" feature.

As a member of the NSA, I find the access to your information in such a easily formatted context a fantastic and wonderful idea. We will make sure to intimidate the appropriate individuals so that this feature is implemented as quickly as possible. You did not read this post.

Great idea, Aleksandra.  And I also like Sandeep's suggestion (though he's a little biased because it's his awesome product! ;) )

And Yelena, that's a great extension to the intro idea.  We can technically "hack" that solution using the discussion boards if we all follow some rules about what tags to use on our posts.  Example: Aleksandra used "idea" and other tags; so we could, if we can all agree, use "seeking_X" as a tag, where X is the quality we're looking for, like "seeking_java_dev" or "seeking_truly_awesome_compassionate_PR_guru"

Lastly, I completely agree that Deborah.  :D  Hopefully it clears up by 10 Oct at latest?

...Owen's post will self destruct in 15 seconds...and hopefully Deborah will be back from vacation soon!

Paul, that sounds perfect!

FD, can we do something about those automated messages being sent out from Deborah every time we post something new?

I would love it! It is a great idea!!!
Also we all either have a company or idea for a company and to promote or vet that idea is not a crime. Having a community board where we can say what we need from the community is a great way to reach people who have the same interests. No need to email everybody that something got posted. People who are interested will take a look at  the "board"  when they feel like it.
