Any insights on getting users who signup for trail account actually 'try' the app? (kopigin.com)?

We recently launched an ecommerce product content application(kopigin.com). Basically the tool shortens the onboarding process by helping online merchants create product descriptions instantly. A merchant simply enters product attributes (season, color, size, etc) and the system generates a natural language paragraph or bullets they can upload to their online catalog.

We offer a 14 day trial period.  While we have seen an uptick in the number of trial signups (advertising). We find a good portion of people who sign up never actually ‘try’ the product during that period.   Any thoughts or similar experience would be welcome.

So, you found a need, but are having trouble getting paid? Very common. 

Two things: first, a reward for actually completing a phase of the trial and second, a personal phone call. The reward can be a White Paper, eBook, etc. Something that shares your expertise but doesn't cost real money. I also like surveyGizmo, but use it very carefully... most people hate endless questions. 

On the call, offer to walk them thru the actual sign-up. Before you tell me it won't scale, so what? You have to figure out EXACTLY what people will pay you to do for them. Then pour gasoline on the fire.

You have your customer journey mapped, right? It's just a point of figuring out where they're getting stuck. You may have to break down steps in the journey (like you break down user stories) to find the exact blocker(s).

It sounds like your current block is that they're not even trying it. Would it be possible to put in a  "TRY IT" section on your page that allows them to sample the function right then and there with a minimum of steps? I am guessing you could offer a form that does steps 1-3 of your process (with a subset of the 'real' database) so they can see how it works. Once you've gotten someone to do something once, it's much easier to get them to do it again.

Another thing you could do is tweak your follow up emails to remind them to use it, but I imagine you're doing that already.

I looked at your product and it appears to provide a good solution for individuals that do a poor job of writing descriptive content.  The hard part is always getting people to adopt a new technology or change their habits.  You need to have an ongoing marketing campaign to keep going back to the trials with a combination of new offers, testimonials and other information.

I don't know if this will help but when I went to your site I found it too hard to sign up for the free account.  All  I wanted to do was try it out myself, I didn't want a 14 day trial - I wanted to see if it was as easy as you said.  I think you would do well to let someone in so that they could create one or two listings without forcing them to give you so much information.

You must create attractive to increase the number of royal inscriptions for your application, must seek to expand its advertising in social media and other means should publicidade.Você coolly observe your application as if you were not the owner of it and so find or search factors negative that can not add to that users seek.
Do a survey of the needs of companies trying to improve its precise application to hear a little more of your application.
