Are all new startups thinking about how they would incorporate Artificial Intelligence?

I am wondering if startups feel they now have to include some sort of AI in their startup or if they are getting feedback or questions from Investors around this. I was listening to a Startup podcast and one of the investors said you may get asked how could AI work in your startup?

well AI has always been talk of the town every time a new product is launch or a new idea comes up. I mean look at the self driving car concept. the thing is startups want to secure their future like they wanted to make sure their business is going to be running for a long time that's why they ask questions like that.

besides AI is still incorporated in almost every software and app we use like if you order a Uber from your cell phone it immediately find the right kind of ride for you in near vicinity and GPS tracking is another such great example.

Yes and no! It depends on your definition of AI and how essential it is to the product/offering. Smart meaning connected or able to do basic analytics might not necessarily constitute AI, besides the processing power involved in full AI applications is still a little step away from being truly local (offline) and integrated at the mobile level. It is certainly the future and many products are integrating AI to differing degrees, I would personally evaluate your product/offering and ask the following questions: 1) Will integrating AI enhance the consumer experience? 2) Will AI improve the sustainability of my business in the LT? If the answer to the first is no then any question from any stakeholder can be easily answered or quelled. The answer to the second is more complex but should only be a concern if the answer to the first is yes. Bit of a Catch 22!

My give is: it depends! Not every platform/startup is suitable for AI, BUT machine/deep-learning (a form of AI) can be a big part of our up-coming social life. Think of an e-commerce website where you can buy a product (laptop) also that website suggests you that other user who bought same product (laptop) also bought WiFi-router or wireless-mouse (and list goes on) In the same way, another e-commerce platform can suggest you geo-based decisions This list can go on, depending on startup / marketing strategy. Hope this helps! Regards, Ali

I`m using AI for my startup, but I`m just integrating a 3rd party Api, so I don`t know if that counts.
