I really like Striking.ly. I was able to put up a simple, classy website in 1.5 hours.

We had used Wordpress, but switched to wix.com and found them to be easier to use and modify.   I can highly recommend Wix.

Interesting question - my business is called My1pagewebsite.com - I create affordable, 1-page websites for business owners that do not want to bother with building it themselves. $299 Gets Your Business Online! I have 15 years of web design experience and created this business because no one was offering a professional, affordable alternative to building their own message on PAGE ONE! I also offer free consultations, to see if my solutions is a fit for your needs!

ME! Just look at my business name - My1pagewebsite.com

Why build it yourself when you can hand it off to a professional?

Are you looking for just design? If so, check out 99Designs.com.
If you're looking for the page to be coded from an established design, you would need to hire a coder to do this for you.
If you're looking for any design that looks good and you won't be customizing this design:
wordpress.com
wix.com
squarespace.com
getresponse.com
and just google: "landing page"

"If you're looking for the page to be coded from an established design, you would need to hire a coder to do this for you."

And if you're looking for someone to run your soon-to-be billion-dollar venture, you would need to hire a bookkeeper to do this for you (since there's a lot of money involved).

Same difference.

(Sorry, but as a software developer with 30+ years of experience, I get really annoyed at how the solution to every possible kind of problem that involves anything other than Photoshop can be solved by these mythical "coder" people everybody speaks of but nobody can ever seem to find. HTML is a "page markup language", not "code", and it's distinctly different than CSS (another markup language), and python and perl and php and c++ and and java and javascript -- which is totaly unrelated to java, BTW.)

Ben's list is fantastic, especially Launchrock and quickmvp. I also upvote the folks who mentioned Striking.ly as a one-pager site that is fairly quick to create and manage.

Check out Grid.io too, which I found through ProductHunt.
