I have a software company (startup) , we can create quality products at low cost.
Now as a startup which are the essential points/quality that I must focus so that my startup does not fail
What should be my marketing strategy?
How can I get more customers?
I would recommend upwork.com. Good luck!
It would have been better if you could offer some info about your start-up but generally speaking what you need to do is set up a clear time schedule and stick to it, create a quick version of your product to test on the market (i.e. your MVP) and focus on sales. The rest is just "noise".
Regarding marketing first you need to know if you are going to target business or individual customers. This is VERY important because it will show you how to set-up your brand (compare GE marketing with Apple). B2B is harder and takes more time to accomplish but it is usually more lucrative. B2C is easier (you focus marketing on the masses) but may end up more costly.
If you are interested in individual customers then you need to decide who your audience is (age, country, educational level etc.) and target your marketing activities to ONE group initially. DO NOT focus on multiple groups as it will be a waste of time, money and effort. So, for example, if your target group is young people between 15-18 who skate then go to places where kids that age skate, hire someone close to their age and have him promote your product using their language, interests and look.
Finally, try to stay away from popular marketing hypes during your first months or years and focus on proven methods (e.g. word of mouth, local advertising, peer groups). For example, contrary to common internet belief, social media marketing is not effective for everyone (you need to decide if it WILL be for you) and tv marketing is better for creating awareness (you DON'T need awareness but you DO need sales leads in the beginning).
Ohh, and make sure that you only do work on the business aspects you actually need! For example, you don't market until you have a product, you don't set-up tax strategies until you reach a million in annual sales (the amount depends on your country of residence) and you don't run campaigns for sharing equity (why receive $10K for 1% when you can receive $100K for the same percentage in 2 years ?).
You can reach and engage new customers with ads! You can start with Facebook ads perhaps. They are really affordable and easy to use. You can also customize what type of audience you want to reach. Good luck!
Rather than focusing on not failing, focus on succeeding. Sumeet ,these are two very different things.
What I do is, we build applications according to clients requirement, and what I am targeting is to partnering with new IT startups or small/medium IT Companies so that I can develop their applications at low cost without compromising on quality.
Problem I am facing is that from where can i get the details of such companies
I am focusing on success only just wanted to know what are the key things that will help me in achieving my goals
