Best real-time prospecting data tool?

December 24th, 2015

Data is very important when improving productivity. I have come across different browser-based business intelligence tools and am curious if others have had any experience with any of them. Unomy, InsideView, and Avention? They are all applications that get real-time data on million of businesses globally for B2B prospecting. I am very interested in using one of these because it seems super effective in shortening time in researching relevant leads- which is something my small business would definitely benefit from hugely. Would love to get others feedback and or recommendations.

I've used just about all of them and the one thing to consider is what titles and roles are you looking for?

For highest quality of data is by far the best but again depends on what department. Visistat is also very very good. Datanyze as well.

Feel free to ping me offline and I'm happy to tell you more if you want.

Great question Bill. Not quite sure how to apply your term "real-time" to providing the best answer, so here is one scenario:

First, use twitter to find a recent tweet about X, for example "bestCRM for marketing" (often, twitter is about as real-time as one can get)

If you are into real estate then we have a hit with that search link: Top Producer. Having computerized realtors on Hilton Head Island, SC some years ago, I can attest to this product's superior standing.

Second, let's go to a service to locate key players at Top Producer:

There are 47 connections listed. This was jigsaw dot com until salesforce bought them. I think membership is still free, and to get a contact phone and email you have to give up one of your contact's details. Or buy the data.

Pick the right title and acquire the contact details.

Finally, if you really want to be prepared, look that person up on LinkedIn... which often will tell you their twitter ID and then you can see what they are excited about in real-time.

This approach (and a number of details I won't share) have helped me. A lot. {grin}
