I'm looking for an expensive best in-class chat tool for my website.

We're currently using GetSiteControl, but not finding it working well because we don't get notifications in real time -- limiting, right?

There seem to be LOTS of options out there.  Can I get your recommendations?  It should "work" (notify me when someone sends a message, be very easy to download/install, be affordable.

For anyone recommending Zopim, I recommend you to read about this nice little proof of concept that allows me or anyone to impersonate anyone in your live chat. So you probably should not use it for private area chats or anything remotely significant.

PS, most of the live chat widgets suffer from this issue. Perhaps something to be addressed...

I am using LiveAdmins Live chat solution on my website last 3 years. The reason behind to chose this compnay live chat solution they also provide live chat service along with chat software in very reasonable price. There are lots of live chat solution in market you can chose any of software that fulfill your requirements.

I think testimonials aren't worth the e-paper they're written on.  I could write a dozen testimonials right now on any subject you care for.

Similarly, a large sized team might just mean someone has been raiding Facebook profile pix.  On the other hand, how are 17 people making money from a product they have been giving away for a year or more?

I have nothing against Tawk.to at all, but I think your broader advice of evaluating a company based on apparent user testimonials and the size of their apparent development team is nonsense.

Hi Lucia,

I'd recommend that you check out tawk.to

The features are amazing and I assure you that notifications are in real time.  The best part of this software is that it's free.  I know you we're looking for a paid version but Tawk.to is good place to start.  It has more features than a lot of paid chat software.

Some good suggestions here. I think the best-in-class tool you're looking for is intercom.io. It works seamlessly and dependably.

We are using crisp.im and finding it pretty great for several reasons:

1. The free option gives you upto 2 operators (most others give only 1)

2. The mobile works pretty well, so you can provide support when you are on the road

3. The dashboard is clean and clear

4. The paid option has several cool features if you later want to pay for it

I recommend https://rocket.chat/ Super easy, works across multiple platforms. You could deploy your own platform and run data mining on it afterwards.

Check out Altocloud.Com - all the rich chat features you expect (displacing LivePerson in enterprises and also very popular with SMBs).  A very intuitive ui for Agents. Supports SMS notifications with intelligent alerts that identify important visitors based on their behaviors and  digital attributes. Altocloud  uses machine learning and predictive analytics so it improves over time. Many more features.
