Hey all,

My first post here - I have a civil engineering background and am a project manager for a heavy civil contractor with a couple interesting ideas but I can't seem to find anyone with a similar background and interest in the entrepreneurial pursuit!

Does anyone have this interest? Does anyone have any insights on platforms where more people in this space are residing?

Hi Matthew,

I have some exp in civil engineering. My father was a civil contractor and had his company. I was a tech support engineer (read: one-man-army), and at times, I ran some sales in the waterslides industry (I still have a major industry manufacturer contact).

On the other hand, I have a degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Currently, I am working as a contractor in web development for the last six years. I have strong ties to Canada (some family) and United States (job/work), and I am currently located in Europe (but open to relocating if the opportunity is right).

If you'd like to connect, I am open to all discussions about ideas and entrepreneurship.

@Matthew, the best place to find out what people are interested in on CFL is the DISCUSS area. You can research member interests and contact them directly. The DISCUSS area is for questions about entrepreneurship and has a very small audience who come here briefly to ask their questions. It's not like a community where tens of thousands of people hang out waiting to chat.

There are probably forums where you'll find many more people much more aligned with your interests if you go to any one of the trade associations that operate in your industry.

Good luck.

Why do you need another civil engineer? :)
