Could someone point me to good tutorial series using Django Rest and React-Native?

I am looking for ether video or text learning material in combining Django-Rest backend with React & React Native. I am currently reading through https://github.com/Seedstars/django-react-redux-base source code for this purpose.

Hi Kimmo,

I think finding a tutorial that covers both will be a tall order. If you're looking for tutorials I would focus on Django and React separately. In terms of workflow to build a thing while learning you can approach whichever end you prefer. If you want to learn more about creating a REST API just use an API like like Postman to consume it. If you want to build UI without an API, just hardcode some data.

I evaluated the Seedstars route for my current project. Eventually I ended up using combination of vanilla Django Rest Framework with token authentication and graphene-django as a backend and vanilla create-react-app and create-react-native-app with Redux on the front end. It seems like a smooth combination.

I am curious Douglas H Bradshaw did the use of Django-Graphine make things easier or harder for you in the react front end? In paper it should be easier but it's also completely new concept. Btw. after playing with React I ended up with create-react-app as well. I never been a person who likes to spend a day wiring up build tools (also the reason I don't have nodejs backend along the fact that I am going to need internal API in Pandas DataFrame format...). Might eventually build create-react-native as well but currently not needed.
