Credit Card payment within a mobile app -> SDKs?

Joanan Hernandez CEO & Founder at Mollejuo

We're in need to use a mobile payment SDK to accept credit card within a mobile app. After some investigation, so far Braintree seems the sole choice. We are not looking for a POS system, we need to offer each app user, the option to pay via credit card. Technically the method could be native SDK or via a Webview.

Suggestion are welcome, sharing of experience is appreciated.

Stripe, as well... have used them in the past; was happy with them.

My understanding is that Apple "in-app" purchases are only restricted to app store payment method if they are virtual products - games, subs etc so depends on what you are selling e.g. if an eComm site with physical delivery the restrictions don't apply and you can use any payment plugin.

In respect to PSP selection depends on geography and number of currencies you wish to offer

I personally like Stripe. We started with Braintree given that they had a program wherein no processing fees was there up to $50k payments for US startups. Then we moved to stripe after a while and have used them since then. Integrations are simpler both in web and mobile app (we only have web). There is a smoother experience in handling little little things such as partial refunds. Thanks, Amit

Stripe is a good solution. Stripe uses  payworks for the provision of point of sale card readers ;) payworks also supports in-app payments and many countries & currencies.

This is all you need to know:

We use WePay and after some initial teething problems, it has been working fine in Production . However, I will suggest if possible do not integrate this directly in your mobile app. Payments integration should be done in the backend for variety of reasons - security, efficiency and your ability to switch between providers without having to change/release your app.

Step 1. Use Fabric
Step 2. Use the stripe SDK allowed in Fabric
Step 3. Profit.
