Customer Development: How to get interview partners to challenge your idea? (Hack)

Hi all, 
I'm building an application solving a teachers and school pain. But I find it very difficult to identify teachers online as they are not really active in social networks like linkedin. You have any advice how to get interview partner? What are your ressources? I'm thinking worldwide, not just US or Europe.

Hi Christian, Where you start to do this job is important. Education systems differs country by country. For example in UK, all teachers are connected to an agency and make annual contracts with public schools via their agencies. You can reach all teachers via agencies. We have an edtech solution for primary school kids and our customers both schools and parents (b2b & b2c). We started in Turkey and now we want to expand the market to US and Europe. Hi Christian We developed a brain training app for children between 6 and 15 years old and we have both b2b (private schools) and b2c (parents) tractions. English version will be launched in 2 months. Then we will try us and eu market also. Which markets do you target for your startup? Also teachers especially at primary schools are important for us. Because their recommendations to the parents are very helpful for traction.

I wouldn't call LinkedIn a social network.  It's more of an online recruiting service.  That aside...

If you want to find teachers online, there are tens of thousands of teachers associations in the US alone.  You can start with the National Education Association.  Then there are state chapters for each state for most national associations.  There are local chapters in each state for most state associations.  Then in every area of specialty, there are typically national, state, and local association.  There are associations by specialty by grades (elementary science, middle school English, high school bioly, college nursing, etc). 

You need only spend a few minutes to search Google to identify literally thousands of such associations.  Usually the national associations will have a chapters/affiliates page where they list affiliated state associations.  The state association sites will list local/regional chapters and affiliates.  If they don't have such a page, many sites will have a links/resources page where they will link to similar associations.

Christian, don't over complicate this.  especially if you are still in the product/market fit phase of your business it is critical that you get out of the office and go talk to people.  In the US: go to schools and talk to teachers, join a few PTA orgs. (parent teacher associations).

Hi again guys Do you know where to start testing our edtech app with schools and kids in us. We need some pilot schools to find early adapters and some tester kids and teachers. We found customer pains and early adapters in local market. But it may differs in Us.

Hey guys, first of all thank you all for your responses.

Right now what I do is actually exactly what @Rob suggested. After talking to about 68 teachers in the last weeks, I wanted to conduct some more interviews.
But right now I'm in Malaysia so it's not that easy to be in my target markets physically. I had the chance to do so in Japan and Australia, the rest I did via Skype.

@jim thanks for that insight, that definitly helps me a lot!
@rosit I'm targeting the EU, North America, Japan and Australia.
