There are so many benefits of doing that! I've been doing it since 6 months for about 15 minutes daily and it has changed my life considerably. And had been doing it for 5+ years 5 minutes daily.
I'd say that meditation is for achieving higher purposes in life. Focus, clarity, mindfulness, better relationships, good health are just by-products of doing meditation. What you set on to achieve is immeasurable. You're then in complete control of your life and emotions. You can then steer it however you like it. It is the success mantra, in some ways, for every field you can imagine.
Thus, I would suggest you to not set a measurable goal to achieve. Put your complete faith in it and dedicate 2-5 minutes daily. Consistency is important here as mentioned by Brij also. Within 3 months, you'll get answers. You'd never have to ask this question again ever!
