Has anyone used Thumbtack to source professionals or find new customers?

I recently came across Thumbtack which is a platform that connects professionals with customers. The company makes money by charging credits to professionals that are interested in sending quotes to customers. Each credit could be as low as $1.42 and professionals buy them in packages.

When looking at the service as a way to acquire new customers, I was a little bit skeptical as I have seen a mix of positive and negative reviews on the internet.

Since many of you are either customers on Thumbtack, or perhaps professionals using it as a channel to gain access to leads, I am interested to hear some of your experiences.

Consumers decisions aren’t always based on logic. The best companies tap into the emotional reasons why customers buy. In this course, you’ll learn sales psychology and use it to create a custom sales pitch, funnel, and template, that will get your customer’s attention.

Our experience went very well. The range of interested contacts allowed us to get a quality professional but outside of any agency or price inflated company.

Hi Pardeep,

I used Thumbtack recently to source a videographer in miami. originally I was looking on Upwork but I wasnt receiving any responses, nor could I refine my search any closer than "US." On thumbtack however I was able to list Miami as the city I was looking to hire in and within a few hours of my posting I received 5 good quotes.
