I really need your help,

I need help coming up with a slogan or a tagline. 

Crowdsway helps small and medium businesses / startups create explainer videos regardless of their budgets or deadlines, it's crowdsourcing. It's like the marriage of 99designs and elance for videos. One client video got 11600 views and a mention on TechCrunch. www.techcrunch.com/2012/11/30/kngine/

Suggestions are:

1. It's like 99designs for videos.


2. We create awesome explainer videos... period.


3. Because, everyone has a story to show. We’ll help you show it.

Mohamed, i think your model is excellent, and I look forward to seeing where you go with it. I very much appreciate your initiative in creating this discussion, which also perfectly illustrates one of the finest uses of crowdsourcing. So, cheers! 

As relates to your query, I think many of yours are strong, , particularly #6. Crowdsourced videos for every budget.  I also like Ray's #6 above, as did Cynthia, because it makes a good point, but it doesn't address video, which is your business. So, ultimately it's too vague, unless your business name included the word video in it, for instance.

So, I think you have an asset in your business name that you didn't mention on the website--"Sway": ie, 'to move', or 'to convince'. As in "you've swayed my opinion"

Crowd is a given. So, combined with the word video, you're already saying pretty much all you need. What do you do? How's this:

"Crowdsway does video. Sway YOUR Crowd"

Just a thought. Explains what you do and presents a call to action. You know what they say about anything free though, you get what you pay for! Ha. But, I think your intuition is pretty solid already. Look forward to hearing how this goes for you.

Before we can create a great tagline, we need to understand what your brand stands for. Why do you exist? How are you different from...  Are you cool, utilitarian, techie, geeky, down and dirty, or just another crowdsourcing platform?  Ever notice that they don't have strong personalities?  I can't remember one versus the other. I used one in 2011, but for the life of me I can't remember which.

Many advisors (VC's) will say that branding at this stage is unimportant.  Would Steve Jobs say that?  I don't think so. 

Will your brand change, evolve, morph. You bet.  My advice is to be a strong SOMETHING. Generic suggestions will give you no bang for your buck.

So for instance, what words you use will make a difference:
  • Film
  • Vid
  • Video
  • Video Clip
  • Vid Clip
  • Viral Video

or

  • inexpensive
  • cost effective
  • cheap
  • low cost
  • economical
  • value
  • Hi-Value Low-Cost

Each decision you make will make a difference.  The worst communications happen when terms get mismatched. I see this kind of thing all the time from emerging companies. For instance:

  • Cheap Film
  • Economical Film
  • Value Film

The terms don't match....

I thought that I sent this a few days about via email, but it didn't go through...


how about, "nothing explains your idea better than video" or something similar that channels your prospect's decision criteria to prioritize video over all other messaging methods. 

other ideas that remind the prospect that they're missing out without video...

"got video yet?"

"you must have video...it's 2013"
