We are IT startup in Malta that is focusing on building disruptive service for High Net Worth Individuals. We are currently having difficulties to find  the right and talented Back End Developer that be willing relocating to Malta to build the product for us. We do not want to outsource and would prefer someone to be physically with us in the Office as there would be a lot of collaboration involved.

Malta has been ranked as the second best place in the World for Expats after Taiwan and surely there might be some great Back End Developers that will be willing to move to a sunny place where cost of living is low but quality of life is high. Maybe you can recommend some resources? We were also thinking attracting some talents from Easter Europe/ Ukraine/ Russia, etc. The role of Back End Developer is the most important role in our project and he/she needs to be really good to build the platform for such a demanding demographics.

Maybe you know some Russian/Ukrainian/ Latvian recruitment portals or websites where we can find the right talent? We will pay basic salary + equity to the right Back End Developer so it is not just purely equity based.

Any recommendations will be much appreciated.

At this point, you should already know that developers are a very rare specie 😁

Fortunately for those who work in the software industry, there is no shortage of work.

Moreover, with the recent events with the COVID, more and more companies are looking into hire remote workers. And developers are getting used to that, and they love it.
