find it interesting.
While I am not sure of the legality of equity distribution amongst users in various countries, we took a little broader approach:
At Get Worm we are helping startups attract their early bird users by offering exclusive perks (worms)
A worm is basically anything special you would give to your early adopters (eg. 12 months instead of regular 1 month free, or maybe something as simple as a thank you postcard.
So far we've been getting quite a good response from both startups and early adopters (including Rocketclub which happens to be one of our registered startups), and I am interested in working with both (startups and early adopters) to understand what's their perspective on perks.
What as an early adopter would attract you more: something personal (say a badge on your profile, a thank you card) or something commercial (more freebies, discounts etc) ?
As a startup what would you do to attract your early adopters?
