I have a web app that helps developers/coders save time and be more productive.

You can check it out here: https://www.snhyper.com/upwork

Currently I have close to 10k developers using it on weekly basis.

However currently only 2% of the users are on a paid/premium plan.

How can I monetize my app or increase the paid subscriptions. I don't want to earn by displaying ads at this time.

Its all depends upon your app and its respective user/developers. Any strategy or planning with only be suggested if we know app and there use. let us connect and see if anything is possible to boost it.

I'm a marketer with a strong bias for monetization. If you tell me more about the app, I might be able to help.

What is the app? Seems like specifics are important here.

I know you clearly wrote that you don't want to display ads, but it is what I would do.

Running ads would be a good way to monetize free plans and to give them another good reason to buy a paid plan, which of course will be ad-free.

Another good way to increase the "free to paid" conversions could be to start every free subscription with 15 days of paid subscription given for free. I saw other companies adopting this strategy and it looks really interesting (e.g. calendly).

I hope I have been helpful somehow.

You can ask the developer's parent company and try to pitch at that level.
