How do you begin to assemble a team of investors to exploit mining opportunities in a foreign country?

Due to the sensitive and confidential nature of this inquiry, I cannot provide too much detail on a public forum. Suffice it to say that I have exclusive ownership interests in 30,000 acres of land that contain precious minerals. My concern is that time is running out due to increasing Chinese influence in the region. Unless I begin serious negotiations with investors and the government to operate these mining interests and provide jobs in the region, the resources may be conceded to the Chinese as collateral for foreign loans. Within 100 years, these non-renewable resources would be totally exhausted. This is as much detail as I can provide at this time.

I'm not exceptionally familiar with mining interests, however it should be visible looking at existing mining operations who is invested and to what degree. My impression is that it's generally mining companies that invest in mining opportunities, but my guess is that they're not in it to give you a fair deal.

"Several acres" doesn't sound like very much when you consider that many mining operations take down entire mountains on a scale that is more like square miles, not acres.

If you're saying that the land resources are your collateral for other investments, consider whether you could mine more capital from the land than you would get from whatever your land is serving as collateral for. It's basic math.

Yes, it takes money to make money in mining. And it's incredibly inefficient, costly, highly regulated, and prone to some degree of unpredictability. How do you specifically know (prove) the real value of the resources located on this land? That would be my first question if I were an investor. If it really is a proven quantity, then there's no reason you should not be able to find someone to take such a low risk. It's when you can't prove the resource in the ground that the risk is high and keeps investors tentative.

This reads like the old Nigerian fax scam: "Can you help me get $20m in an account in Lagos...". If it is, in fact, genuine, you need to provide corroboration or not raise it here.

Personally, at the present time, I think CFL is being used to host a scam.
