How to build a Computer vision MVP?

John Curran Entrepreneur; Formerly @Google @Uber @WhiteHouse

I am currently building a computer vision/machine learning program, and I already have some great interest from investors. As a business person myself, I am trying to build out the technical team. While I am finding great interest amongst AI engineers, few are interested in also building the base computer vision software. Does anyone know of a computer vision software that is suitable for building a computer vision program to present to investors? Any insight you may be able to provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Jhon,

Before answering your question - what how would you like to use the computer vision / machine learning? What are your use cases?

Anyway, we've been using the in our projects - and it performed really great - but again, it all depend on your needs.

Good luck!

You could use OpenCV and integrate with that

hi John.

Sounds interesting, and great that you already have investors for it.

I'm not sure that you can find an off-shelf computer vision program, as you need it.

You might want to try approaching some development companies, with experience in this field. They might be able to better direct you towards the MVP and help you developing it.

Good Luck

As Steven said, OpenCV was and is mainly made by Intel. It's open source, and almost everybody doing computer vision of some sort, is using it.

Best of lucks!

You could also integrate with the Google Vision API.
