Can you elaborate a little more with a concrete example?

"Product marketing needs a bit more forcating than agile methodology can assure ..." <-- I have found agile to be far more reliable in terms of forecasting than traditional approach. Would like to know what challenges you are facing here

Jayram,

Thank you for you answer.

Here are some details, i hope you'll have a notification on my reply.

Well the answer i seek is about how coordinate marketing and dev departments.

Dev department is working with 1 or 2 weeks sprints, with iteration on every weeks priorities, i find it difficult to have a plan for say 3 months.

So marketing which can not iterate week by week, and recruitment are kind of always "late".

So I am searching for a short and long term solution to put everyone on the same page and synchronise different operations modes.

Actually, having done both marketing and development, I would challenge the assertion marketing cannot iterate week by week (or more generally sprint by sprint). In both dev and marketing, there are longer term projects and commitments that must be met.

Done right, any short-term re-prioritizing from sprint to sprint reflects the best way to meet longer term goals, not changes to those goals. And hopefully, marketing and other stakeholders' needs are reflected in any re-prioritization.
