How to measure amount of business you bring to local stores?

Hi all,
My service brings potential customers to local stores and I think it would help me market it better and stores would stay with the program longer if can quantify/show the amount of purchases that potential customers that I brought make and track it over time.

What are ways of doing that besides:
- reselling local merchant's service/product on my marketplace - CON: dealing with possible problems with merchant's service/product;
- processing local merchant's transaction via my marketplace - CON: possible problems with need for excessive buyer support;
- running some loyalty program - CON: need to create real value for people to use it; need to get something that is convenient to use for both merchants and buyers and cheap to implement by any store be it Toys R Us or local hardware store;

Any suggestions with pros/cons of each additional method would help.
