We are prototyping our first MVP product from our product map, but we will need some funds to gets in the market.

Since the beginning we are working with our free time and our money... But now things are getting serious and we need more time and more money... The company is not yet created at all.

How can we start fundraising ? First creating the startup legaly ? Or this can be set later ? Who can help us to fundraise and how to do it?

There are lots of cool options. Perhaps you could create an event/fundraiser that you can invite friends and family to. A friend just threw one of these and it worked very well for her. The good news is that the invite can introduce what you are trying to do and also include an opportunity for those who cannot make it to also donate.

Another option could be one of the many crowd funding sites. Again, the great news is that it will serve as marketing, garnering interesting, assessing interest level and getting some funds. I'm not sure what Belgium laws are regarding fundraising and business formations so I suggest you consult with an attorney to ensure you are in compliance with them.

Best of luck!

There are some regional agencies that help founders with some money to create their company.... but not all (and I don't know what exists on that level in Belgium).

But for real fundraising, or to get some grants... all starts indeed with the legal part and create the company. When creating the company, you can already include some love-money from people you know already (family, friends...) but don't go further.

Try to contact some local business angels groups in your area and see what they propose (but they only join after the company creation).
