I saw a question here last week about 'fake beta results,' and the poster got ripped to shreds over his ethics. I actually sympathize though because, in my field at least, there's a ton of trial and error during the testing phase.
I spent a high five figure amount conducting multiple tests for variations of the same concept. Only one of the variations was successful, and it's attracted interested from investors. If an investor asks for a bank statement though, I'd be showing them a huge loss cause of all the failed tests, and it's next to impossible to tell from the statement which variation succeeded. I don't want to share a bank statement for this reason, but I also don't want to set off red flags.
What should I do?
