I want to help college students and other students that do not want to wash clothes i want to provide them and also other peoples a online washing service booking in this We get booking from our costumer and then we sent a men on their doorstep to take their clothes and do the same day pickup same day delivery tell me how is that......
So would this be kind of like Uber Eats, where you are providing a "middle man" to an existing laundry service and using people with their own cars? Or would you actually own/operate the laundry facilities and vehicles too?
Seems like the trick would be to get a bunch of pickups lined up, then have a vehicle travel the most efficient route to pickup N deliveries. Interesting routing and scheduling problem.
Maybe contract with laundry facilities to start with?
Reminds me little bit of a diaper service, except those are usually on a schedule (weekly or something), and it's probably much better to do this on demand I would think.
Ideally before building all the technology, just try it on your own. Be a delivery boy, ask some of your neighbors or friends to give their clothes , get the washing done and deliver the clothes back.
Now do this for few more weeks for few more friends and see how much your friends are willing to pay you. By now, you validated two things that there is a real problem and people are willing to pay X money for your service.
If you can earn some money, invest that money into technology and scale your solution to all your friends and families.
Do it on your own! Be a delivery guy first and then everything follows!
I've met a minimum of 15 companies doing the same thing. The best thing to do is to research the market REALLY well and find out what those other companies doing the same idea are missing and build on it. Do not copy ideas to the core, change things up! Remember, Android and iOS do the same exact things (call, browse, connect, upload, download, etc) but it's how you differentiate yourself from everyone else is what matters the most. Don't follow a trend, be the trend.
There are a few of these in the US. Rinse is likely the best funded. The question is if your target (students) 1) can afford this, and 2) need same day service. Read about these to see where they have crossed some of the barriers you will encounter.
Well this solution is already Running in Delhi, but if you can make a difference you can get his moving faster, I would agree with advice by Krishna Nandula to understand yourself and pain points first and go for the solution.
Today Solution is easy to design but finding the real pain points is tough ( key )
1) Do it yourself first with the help of local laundry system in place
2) Launch the Ecom/Normal website with booking and small Database option
3) Integrate a Chat Bot and Simple Payment option like Instamojo
4) Get the Tracking system make the email list generate the traffic to your website
5) Finally Implement the Automation to your system to and get your focus shifted to Improvement and better Service.
The same day pick up & same day delivery may work for you in the start but what if your customers increase & you expand your business? How will you manage to stay on the same benchmark ?
Hi Varun, I have been working on an micro-SaaS idea to cater to startups and B&M businesses in this industry segment.
My SaaS will enable any laundry/dry cleaners to setup website/portal/application to book/subscribe laundry services in a day.
It supports setting up recurring services to business customers.
It has customer facing and operations(pickup, billing, drop-off, etc..) related functionality built in.
