I'm the CEO of a technology start-up that is interested in finding an acquirer in 2017.
We are interfacing with several companies of all different sizes, some are a few million in revenue some are multi-billions in revenue across their different products. We just naturally assume that of these companies we are partnered with the larger ones would be more likely to acquirer us. In different companies which personal or job title would be the people to start the acquisition conversation with?
I know the conversation should only happen if it is a right fit for both parties, but what job titles and responsibilities should we look for to know that we are speaking and impressing the right people?
Any guidance on this topic would be quite helpful. First timers but we've done a great job building tangible IP and trailing sales. We see the acquisition of our company as a strategic one so the buyer doesn't have to build out our tech.
