Is advertising on devices within a limo taxi considered useful as a marketing platform?

I am aiming to make it more attractive for hotels to use our mobile app to book a ride in our limo taxis. To do this an option would be to allow dynamic advertising within the taxi for their outlets, promotions, etc. Would this be considered as a marketing platform and thus not only allow us to break the ice with hotel management to open accounts and use our App to book rides but also provide us a revenue stream?
Forget about “build it and they will come.” Products without scalable distribution channels will fail to gain traction. Instead of hiring an expensive marketing team, take this course to master SEO, content marketing, retargeting, viral loops, email marketing, and sales funnel optimization.

Some of our top clients do advertise in taxi for an app install.  The call to action to be able to track those installs/post install events is usually generated from a QR code in the ad or a unique # to text you the app ("text 3455 to download the app today!")

This might actually be a good idea to target in the Ride Share market. I know that the average Ride Share driver does not make that much money per ride so they could be open to additional revenue opportunities. This could also potentially be a solution for short surveys, where riders are rewarded with special deals at local venues that could lead to revenue from both survey companies and area venues.

Verifone has built a network that allows for dynamic advertising within taxis.  While not exactly what you're talking about, you should check it out (and similar offerings for the taxi market) as there is a lot of overlap: http://www.verifonemedia.com/

Verifone has a lot of credit card terminals in taxis... why do you think so many have large color screens?

I like John's suggestion to target the Ride Share market as there are fewer entrenched players competing for in-car advertising space.

Interesting responses John, Ryan and James. No doubt will put them to the test as we are go forward with this option. Many Thanks!
