Late last year much was said about how Didi “slayed” Uber in China due, in part, to better understanding of local governments and relations, as well as shrewder and more aggressive marketing. I’m reminded of this while reading about the company Grab expanding into India and Vietnam. It seems that companies feel that Uber can be beat in emerging markets.
