Kickstarter vs. Indiegogo?

Anonymous

I am looking to raise financing for my hardware startup via crowdfunding. For that reason I rather keep this post anonymous... Currently looking at the platforms that are out there and Kickstarter and Indiegogo seam to be the leading players in the crowdfunding space. I wonder what are your thoughts on them and which one I should choose.
More than 65% of new companies fail because they lack funding. In this course, you’ll learn common fundraising mistakes, how to nail an elevator pitch, how to craft a killer pitch deck, where to source investments from, and all about term sheets and convertible notes.

I wonder why anonymous? If you let the community know the name of your startup, we will be able to support your crowdfunding campaign.
My thoughts: Kickstarter gets a lot more coverage in the tech community, but depending on who your target audience is, this may be a positive or a negative for you.
On another note, I am launching a media channel (similar to NowThisFuture) that will go live in November. If your product is something cool that a regular person can relate to, we could make a video episode about it and publish it around the time when you need to attract more attention to your Kickstarter or Indigogo campaign.
