I am looking for both standard processes and creative suggestions about what to do when there is one member of a founding team (a minority owner) who wants to sell the company, but the CEO & others have decided they'd prefer to grow the business instead.
We need to let this team member know that we have changed strategies & no longer want to sell in the original timeframe. My thought is that, when we let him know, it would be great to be able to clearly let him know what his options are ... i.e. we want to make him an offer so that he can choose whether to stay or go. It is a good relationship, and we want to be fair and thoughtful about this change.
