Launching company shortly and looking for an external accountant to handle accounting for the first 12-18 months until we're big enough to require internal accounting expertise. One of my co-founders and I will handle the finance duties, and probably could do 90% of the accounting stuff, but the the latter is a non-value-added distraction (above and beyond having a breakdown into our spend and revenues). The actual transactions that need to be managed are fairly simple, and we're using a PEO to handle the HR and payroll stuff. Just need someone to help with the remaining items -- probably a day or two a month (outside of tax season). Would like someone who's familiar with the accounting rules for high-tech service companies in the start-up space, as well as someone who would be able to handle us as we grow.
