Hello good people, I need some advice.

I have two sites Kiniscore.com and artisthandiwork.com

Kiniscore.com is a reatime soccer live score updates for African leagues. We have scores data accessible via API for Nigeria, Ghana and South Africa while ArtistHandiWork is focused on giving exposure to emerging artists (mostly paint artists) in Nigeria outside of the continent. The site artisthandiwork.com is a result of my pilot with creative arts University students in Lagos.

I have spent personal funds to get the sites this far, my question is what ideas can I explore to get them to scale or revenue to make the two brands sustainable.

Hi Abiodun,

Can you formAny type of partnerships with other media arms within Nigeria/Ghana/SA? Do you have any data that shows that people are consumingThe data that you're providing?

How many ppl know about your services and are you facing any serious competition from your competitors who might be creating content better/faster/cheaper than you are?

For the Soccer Website, looks like the only way to monetize it, is through, sponsored banners or advertisement. Soccer Betting companies will be interested to advertise on such website.

The art on sale website provides multiple means of generating revenue. Some of which are;

1) Artist paying a fee to list each painting.

2) Artist paying to use the platform to promote their paintings. It can be an annual membership fee which will bring in recurring revenue.

3) If you are handling transaction online, You can charge a commission on all paintings sold.

4) Sponsored banners or advertisement.

Hi Langson,

Which of the media are you referring to please? For Radio and TV, we have a major cable company (from South Africa) as competition with a lock down deals with most of them. We're still exploring ways to craft a value proposition enough to get and keep their attention (they typically require revenue generation model as short as 2months)

@Samuel

Sponsored banners is something not big until getting a millions of views on site. I'd be open to international brands interested in African soccer.

Its a bit hard (compared to the results) to convince an emerging artist around here to pay upfront for a service. Current model is to sell online and charge a commission. From analytics, we get hits outside of continent than inside which signify interest so we're trying to validate that in view of the cost of doing that. Unknown artists are typically open to paying a cut after sales. I will try out the annual membership fee suggestion.

On the soccer site, what is your Unique Selling Proposition (USP)? In other words, sports scores are available everywhere. So why should someone visit your site? Do you have unique analytical content? That's why people visit ESPN.com over other sites. Perhaps your USP can be unique content that people will either pay for (subscription model) or you can use for on-page ads?

For art, perhaps a simple commission or consignment arrangement would work for monetization. You may also want to think about having featured artists if there are artists with multiple pieces. Also, on my desktop, the top menu is not displaying properly.

I have a few ideas that could help you scale. My first one would be to create a Lean Model Canvas of your Artist site. This way you'll be able to see the holes and/or scaleable parts of the business a little easier. The Pareto Principle (80/20 Rule) comes to mind here. Take some time to flesh out the details of the artist site - its business plan and then focus on what the strengths are and how you can scale them. Trying to see the site as it stands and brainstorm scaleable ideas is kind of like taking a leap where you need to takes a couple steps. If I can help you out any further, my company helps out people like you for free in our community Invenst Team as well as providing access to free resources like contracts and LMC templates. Cheers!

Firstly, you have to understand a market to stay in it, Understand your competition if any. You have done the most necessary by Starting. I will mention briefly for Kiniscore.com. , Nigerian Tech today is occupied by 80% if not all youths even across Africa and something Financial deprivation had led them to is predictions and winnings. They Play online Betting. What if you invest in Building a mobile App and there should be free coupon or gift for first downloads. Liase with sites like Bet9ja and Co.

Second for the Arts, while not create an online competition with watering grand prize and each participants will have to Registerms through your site. E.t c
