There are so many people posing questions that are lacking in detail to such a degree that almost any response is worthless.
If you have an idea, then tell us about it. Give your best paragraph to get us thinking, and maybe even excited. If it's a good -- or maybe even a great idea -- our interest and excitement will turn into better feedback for you.
If it's a bad idea, we'll be honest and tell you why. Please don't waste our time, or your own, with vague postings.
I have posted my idea here and looking for more feedbacks!
@Ju Shim: it's not very helpful to issue another request for feedback if you don't link to the original request so we can follow up. If you ask for help, make it easy for others to help you.
Many of the answers are coming from individuals who come here to feel like they are more experienced than they truly are. That is why they regurgitate limited knowledge based on their own limited experiences. Years ago when Cofounders lab started, there seemed to be more restriction on the people they let join. Now, there are a lot of people who are not serious or experienced enough really to be discussing anything in the forums. That is not bad necessarily, but it can become annoying for those utilizing this site to connect. The good news is, those with competence stand out. But there is just a lot of rehashed questions that are easily googled and answered rather than posting in these forums.
I think those who run the site could do a far better job of making the site more productive than it is.
@ David M,
Yes exactly. Any Tom, dick or harry can create an account and start giving advice to others on subjects they may have no actual applicable knowledge about. Or are just flat out wrong. Or have heard somewhere, or what not.
One thing though, is what keeps me coming back to this site is how active it is. If there were restrictions in place to stop said problem, there would be a lot less activity. And I would stop coming back, as well as many others. So I guess having bad advice given is better than no or little advice to me. Because anyone with any sense knows not to take advice without then researching it to confirm.
@Ju Shim I have a conflict of interest as I am launching a similar product this fall. Best of luck.
