Looking for feedback on best of breed prospecting tools that source contact info/email addresses with searchable criteria to focus on a particular universe of contacts.  Noticed there are quite a few of these tools popping up and wanted to check to see if anyone has any opinions on their favorite tools in this space.  Thanks in advance for your insight.

Hey Jesse,

Leadfuze has a great reputation and there are others which I can recommend. If you can provide some insights into the specifics that might help us all steer you in the right direction. (Of course understanding some of this might still be confidential)

  • Vertical(s)
  • Titles
  • Roles
  • Company Size
  • How big is your sales team?
  • Is it just one rep or still just you?
  • Are you looking for a "1x" list or do you have a team that needs news leads consistently?
  • Do you have an email tool yet like Yesware, Tout, etc?
What is more important phone numbers or emails or both?

Some of the tools that I recomend to folks include: LeadFuze, Kickfire by VisiStat, Datanyze.

Probably one of the best out there is DiscoverOrg, well worth the $ IMO and some of the most accurate data.

Lastly, lots of these tools are starting to overlap so I would encourage you to think bigger picture in terms of what other information you might like besides the contact info and see if the tool can provide that too.

Feel free to ping me off line if you have any questions.

Hi Jesse…..I had the same question a year or two ago. Didn’t know anything about prospect intelligence tools, but I had some friends that had started a “big data” analytics company to help folks with this stuff. Once I learned more, and talked to some of their clients, I was hooked. They ended up recruiting me to actually join the company, so I took a leap of faith and got into an industry I knew very little about. But it’s been a fantastic 9 months….I love this cutting edge stuff and it really helps companies. Sorry for the bio and the commercial……if you want to learn more, visit or send me a note and I’d be happy to share my experiences. /greg

Without purchasing lead lists, I would consider LinkedIn Sales Navigator for prospecting. It's about $100/month. Clay Coomer c: 317-900-9695 Sent from my iPhone (Please excuse typos and brevity)

I like Advanced Social Messenger (although they just changed their name so it's now called something else. It collects details of LinkedIn users (and other social media platforklms although LinkedIn is what I use). Cost is $141 per quarter plus it requires LinkedIn Sales Navigator at $60 a month.

Jesse -

You are right there are many sources/tools out there.  In order to help you can you share what vertical you are selling into or want to sell into?  Are your relationships with buyers in the C suite or IT for example?   Do you target Operations, Marketing, advertising, Sales other?

If you want to do it on the cheap, I wrote an eBook on how to do this in LinkedIN - a pretty unique method.  Get optin emails, don't blind email anyone.  You will get better results.  That is a direct download - not email gated.  I sell it for $4.95 - but my contribution to your cause - if you wouldn't mind giving me feedback if you decide to implement the method.
