Recommendation for a CPA at the greater Boston area

Anonymous

July 19th, 2016

We are an early stage startup in the greater Boston area and are looking for an inexpensive CPA to help us file our corporate tax returns. Given our stage, I believe it should be pretty straightforward, but I'm not an accountant.

Can anyone recommend a CPA, preferably local?

Many thanks!

If it's bookkeeping first, I'd like to recommend www.MyBooks.Solutions.

Try Tom Freda, Giano & Freda located in Medford on High Street. Is that local enough for you??? Joyce

Why do you need a CPA? Are you making a profit? Just tally up your income & expenses and go to HR Block. Or your closest Enrolled Agent. A fraction of the cost.

H&R Block works too.  LOL.

Bookkeeping? I couldn't bring myself to pay someone to add up losses! Just make an honest, defensible estimate of expenses for each category. For the  income, just add up your deposits from the monthly bank statements. You should be done in an hour. Free! Now run to the preparer & get it over with. So you can get back to making money.

BTW what I said can apply if it's an original founding team as the only owners. If there are outside investors,  you owe it to them to use a reputable outside bookkeeper, if not a CPA.
