Daily coworking space recommendations for San Francisco?

I’ll be visiting for meetings San Diego late next week, and later San Francisco. In between meetings I would like to work on available coworking spaces that offer the daily option. I’ve heard in San Diego about theHIVE, however, I’ve never been there.

So … any recommendation, suggestions or comments are welcomed! From the coolest, to the best to the cheapest.

Cheapest is Regus. I got their $20/month which lets me in any of their 200 locations during business hours. Not the most inspiring, but nicely maintained and quiet. Lots of locations in SF and suburbs.  I use it like I would a Starbucks in between meetings when I need to.

I usually use LiquidSpace to find out which ones are available/cheapest. It really depends on what I need that day and they have tons of options. It's a pretty good website and I use them a lot to find co-spaces or meeting rooms.

I really like NextSpace in Potrero Hill. It has decent parking, if you have a car. If you don't, best to go with one int he South of Market (SoMa) area - closer to public transport. NextSpace has daily passes (I think $25?), and you can get a free day to try it out. It has a lot of light, and different areas to hang out in.

+1 Co-Merge.  They host our local PHP Meetup group in their facility once a month.  I've been impressed with the space, though I have not personally used them for their co-working services. http://www.co-merge.com/

I have heard of a great co-working space called Hera's Hub (it's primarily for women entrepreneurs)-- herahub.com

+1 for NextSpace, they have 2 offices downtown but I've only been to the one on 2nd/Market (other is Powell Station area). Was there last a couple years ago and was pretty cool then, just make sure you aren't trying to get work done when they have 5pm networking parties :)
