I started my software company two years - if you had already qualified team then need to define the process, working model as well as culture of your team.
For me, I try to make project split with small team 3 - 5 members with roles leader, dev, qc to run software project with Agile Scrum to maximize customer involving and feedback to development team.
I don't think I am in a position to give you any recommendations on the qualified team. For a small startup, it is very random. Even, if you have a good measure of hiring a person, it might not turn out great. HR is the hardest part of operations. Hiring the right person for the right team is tough. Because each individual can be very different.
I would recommend having like 3 months of internship process before hiring someone. This helps candidates to see if your firm fits them, on the other hand, if he or she is perfect for your team. Getting to know each other and if you or they think it is not the right person or place, then you can try to look for others.
Moreover, you should think about the organizational culture from the beginning. It is very hard to change how it is. Companies tend to keep their identities from the beginning. When it grows, it will grow very quickly and you will have a problem of organizing structures when you really need them. I've seen this many times. Even though it might look quite funny to have an organizational structure or cultural mindset at the moment, it will help a lot when your firm grows!
Like, programming! It takes some time to structure things in the beginning but when your applications grow, it saves you a lot of time.
So, it is very hard to say it now, how to form THE A-TEAM for your firm. But, those efforts will increase probability for you to have THE A-TEAM.
What I see happening a lot of people hiring just because they think their business is growing rapidly if you are a software business you need somebody d who knows how to make the correct hire for the particular type of role which could be on a temporary basis or a permanent basis depending on what your requirements would be.
