My friend and I started a daily news service that sends out a newsletter daily with summarized news articles. Basically we are taking the opinion, fluff, and partisanship out of the news and distilling it down to almost like a scientific abstract. We have gained about 100 users in two months time with minimal advertising spend. Would love to hear the communities thoughts on how we could grow further.
1) Organic and word of mouth
2) Having CoFo-bassadors who you will incentivize to do grassroots marketing
There is the idea of using the people who subscribe as your advertisers. If they love what you do, they will know others who would too.
Idendify your target group, find out the things and places they are interested in and exploit them for success.
Lead generation through social and digital media will be your most cost effective and likely efficient tactic. Develop a strong landing page (simple and informative). Put your value prop and some sample content out on social media and target the audience that you know will be interested. That should help get you there.
Is there a certain number of subscribers you are looking to reach or is it just "more" at this point?
