Startup Credit Card

Now that my banking is taken care of with SVB I was wondering if I can get some recommendations for business credit cards.  Suggest a few and their respective pros and cons.

There are a lot of options depending upon what you need out of a card.  If you pay it off each month, the American Express Platinum card is top notch.  You get points for every dollar spent and can use the points to purchase just about anything.  If you buy a lot of stuff for business you can rack up value pretty quickly.  I used the points in previous businesses to give employees gift cards for recognition.  Also, used points for hotel stays as I traveled quite a bit and had plenty of airline miles but not enough free hotel nights.  There are numerous benefits to this card beyond the points, especially if you travel frequently.  It costs you $450 per year, but if you look at the list of benefits, the actual cost of the card goes down pretty fast.  For example, it includes $200 per year of airline credits (covers bag fees, food and beverages spent on whatever airline you choose), $100 credit to sign up for Global Entry, more....
If you do travel frequently on a particular airline, say Delta, AMEX again has a partner card with Delta that will boost your miles earned and move up the frequent flier levels faster.  If you want hotel benefits, pretty much every hotel brand has a partnership with a credit card that earn hotel points and increase your level in their frequent guest program.
If you need to carry a balance, AMEX and most others do have cards that allow carrying a balance but that is usually expensive money.  I have always had several cards that I use to create benefits for multiple things.

we use CapitalOne and have for years with my other company.  no complaints and the airline miles help with travel costs.

American Express Business is my recommendation. They are usually very good for service and rates. You get 30 days interest free or revolving credit to pay it over time. Cheers! Gaurav

At my last startup we used SVB's business credit card.  It's just a standard MasterCard.  Nothing special (actually it's pretty vanilla compared to Amex).

We are now with Wells Fargo and we use their business credit card.  Better features than SVB.  But no receipt management like Amex does.  But we manage our receipts with Wave.

Victor, American Express called - they are looking for someone to do a commercial for them... you could be the Alec Baldwin of Amex!
