Hello fellow FDs:

My co-founder, focused on business development, has cultivated a relationship with a very influential business school professor at a locally based school.  Thru discussions with this professor, we've discovered an opportunity to potentially overcome limitations of limited manpower (or girlpower) to achieve key milestones.  I'd like to know if anyone worked with schools to organize and launch competitions along the lines of coding (computer science dept.), marketing (business school), PR (business / communications school), etc.?  If so, how did you structure it? (e.g. prizes, scholarship money, collaborative vs. competition)

Check out what angelhack does for corporate sponsors - hackathons with a big prize that specify you have to use a particular sdk. Or a business plan competition for a particular industry / company. You can use those templates for your own company. - Sent from Mailbox for iPhone

Hi Stan, I competed in one of the largest (cash pot-wise) university business competitions and won 1st place and other awards, as well. So I know the process from the very beginning all the way to the end. I can tell you how it was organized if you are interested, just inbox me.
