My team is developing a new patent-pending SaaS and mobile app platform for the automotive industry and we are torn on how we should approach building a website. The SaaS system will have one name and will be marketed by the corp company.
I don't want to waste dev resources on building a website for the product BUT it needs to integrate with the SaaS platform. Look forward anyone's feedback...
If you look at many strong examples, the web site is the primary www.domain.com and the SaaS tool is the app.domain.com
Are you actually patent-pending, meaning have you filed your patent application with the USPTO?
It's unclear what you mean by integrate. Design is one of the last things to worry about. But, as part of your marketing strategy validation, the business step that comes entirely before coding anything, can include the way your online presence is organized for users.
If you are using WordPress for your SaaS application, It's easy to integrate front-end website using WordPress, and I am sure to integrate website with current SaaS application you may need user registration with (subscriptions) and user login integration, which will connect to your current SaaS application. Let me know if you need any further help
Thanks to everyone for your feedback. Truly appreciated.
Wordpress should work for you. That's what we're using for a new Saas.
What features do you need to integrate? There are many ways to do it but It really depends on the complexity/specific requirements.
Wordpress or CI framework best for this
I would like to understand the pricing model for SaaS startups. Could you share with me your experience?
