I assume you are aware that an AL language was developed and many programs written to make decisions. The program were capable of making decision that were not up or down, 1/0 . That was twenty years ago. The effort ran out of steam and I can not think of one program being in use today.

I wanted to create a very simple program that would create a part for proposals. Very low end AI program. But it required two groups provided their half of the knowledge needed. The said they would do it after I built a proof of concept program. But they never did it. They looked at AI as killing their jobs.

AI has a human problem that is far bigger then you or me.

AI and Cognitive Computing (beyond plain vanilla ML in Python) are really difficult to understand computational disciplines. Most people are just confused about them.

I have several that I've heard people say.

Job Loss: There's a lot of conversation around the net buy many people who have a mixture of dread and excitement when talking about the future of artificial intelligence. Businesses are excited about the increase productivity. Social commentators speak on social issues speak about the great displacement of non-technical workers.

Hype: unlike the past, in our fast disseminating information, new Technologies our immediately snatched up by marketing individuals who conflate and distort what is possible and what is not. And the marketers I'm referring to are not only those you might find in marketing agencies, although they're a part of it. I'm speaking about the tech giants themselves who are singing the praises of AI to the point that its seemingly reality warping to those not experts within the field.

Gold Rush Mentality: All of this marketing that getting confused with innovation has open up the pocketbooks of investors looking to cash in.

Can you explain your question with more details? AI/ML are used in number of areas so different people will have different concerns.

In general, AI/ML is still black box thing. One can't understand why it generates particular result. So it depends upon which area you're focussing.
