What are popular Google searches run by my (potential) customers?

I launched a very simple MVP (an e-blast with a mock of my product) for a B2B product and received some positive responses! I now want to study the habits of the interested potential customers who responded to the blast. 

Among other things, I am specifically interested in which phrases these folks type in to Google on a regular basis. 

How can I get that information? I'm a bit worried that if I simply ask, I will get bad information (I know if someone asked me "what phrases do you type in to Google most often?" I would have no idea how to answer).

Perhaps there is a more clever way to ask the question? Or some hi-tech solution I am unaware of?

I have found SpyFu to be pretty darn helpful. It still requires brainpower, but it will give you a great place to start. Hope that helps.

Google wants you to spend money with them so they will often help you out. Here their phone number and other ways to ask them directly: https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/8206?hl=en But if you want to target "these folks" then you could ask them in a way that will produce the answers that will be helpful. There are people like me who get this data for you if you feel they will give it to you directly. James

How Is a mockup a "product"??

I keep getting surprised by people who confuse Minimum Viable Product - IE something someone actually pays money for and is happy with since it does what the need it to do with "demo" or "prototype" or Proof Of Concept

MVP's have ACTUAL customers, not "potential customers"


When it comes to Google Adwords, you can usually find a coupon from Google for what comes to roughly a half month of Adwords for free. Its worth paying for them and seeing which ones lead to what response. But Adwords is actually a fairly expensive way for B2B to get traffic

Then you look at Google Trends http://www.google.com/trends/ Google Trends has been used to analyze everything from the level of racism in voting patterns during the 2008 and 2012 elections in the USA to what movies are hot
