As my first adventure gets under way, I am looking to get input from anyone thats willing to give it. My goal includes creating a space that does not exist as of yet and will be a living, evolving effort. There are many ways I can take this, but currently I want to focus on community building and creating buzz through user experience.

If you haven't already read "Buzzing Communities" from Richard Millington, I highly recommend it.

I'm in the same boat as you, Jeff.

I can get into details of these things later, but a short list of things to focus on in community building would be:

-Identity (What sets your community apart? What do they stand for?)

-exclusivity (how are the true members different from others?)

-mobility (can members gain a higher status in the community through their efforts?)

-Leadership (guiding people through the experience and setting the tone of what the community should be)
