I  wrote an post on the lessons I've learned starting a company over the last year. Wanted to share it here in case it might be helpful to other folks: http://jalle.posthaven.com/determination

Thanks Jalle.  You make some thought-provoking points.

Did you try out coworking spaces?  My impression from brief exposures to several is that they lack a meaningful community. One space was starting to build such a community, but then the owner closed it to focus on his other business.

I'm curious to hear other people's opinions about coworking spaces.

Here's my startup experience to share: http://women2.com/2012/10/29/realities-of-running-an-early-stage-startup/.  I wrote this during the early startup stage so it may not apply to others who may be further along in their journey.  Hopefully, it's helpful!

Thanks Mark.

Our team meets in co-working spaces when we need a meeting room. Because most of our team is part-time for now we mostly work remotely. But we've met at the HUB SF and Oakland, as well as Workshop Cafe in the FIDI and had a great experience.

I think co-working spaces are really helpful if you need a place to meet. They are also great places to meet other entrepreneurs. In regards to community, I think it depends on the specific co-working space.

Really interesting Jalle - I recently published a book about the same after interviewing some founders. Check it out - www.DisruptorsBook.com
