If people had to teach themselves (quickly), what would you suggest they use?
Forget about “build it and they will come.” Products without scalable distribution channels will fail to gain traction. Instead of hiring an expensive marketing team, take this course to learn SEO, content marketing, retargeting, viral loops, email marketing, and sales funnel optimization.

Books magazines news papers . But its not a quick journey . Its a matter of following the bread crumbs for however long it takes. I love books because you can re  read them and every time you read the same book there is more information to be secured that provides context and richness to the subject

I note your commenst Neil Licht . Interesting . After reading Failure is not an Option I think the best way forward is to use what you have learned to move forward but also noting that for every mistake you make you learn from that error but also find a referral point that you can cross reference your actions or inactions with. Many people have parts of the same jigsaw puzzle but its up to the individual to be prepared to find listen and learn from those people regardless of where they sit in an organization.

I thought Growth Hacker Marketing by Ryan Holiday which I received for free when I was a student (a great tactic by the way for growing his user base), very effective as it presents a growth mindset and demonstrates technical methods to apply new strategies for marketing. Great easy subway read which puts marketing at the forefront for business success.

A must read!
