I’ve recently started leadership coaching practice and would like to share some useful content with the community of tech leaders.
So far, I got requests for bits on conflict management and remote leadership but I’d like to compile a longer list of subjects.
What would you like to read about? What would be the most useful?
Thanks in advance, I’m looking forward to hearing from you!
I'm not sure I am fully answering your question, however in my experience the most challenging parts of leadership in my experience are the actual people/staff (which I know are the core of the matter!!) My most difficult situations have always come about from staff not getting on well with each other. So whilst they work brilliantly in collaberation with me and with each other as they HAVE to, they moan about the other person constantly. It is very wearing! And not much you can do as you can't control people's personalities and no matter how hard you try to bring them together they clash personalitites and you can't do much about that.
By far, the most challenging aspect is dealing with people's different personalities. As a Leader you should work FOR the group and teach the individuals to work FOR the group as well, but any unintuitive approach to a situation might cause they to close to you and that's where things get harder. In sum, soft skills are a bless, if they don't like you, appeal to the unique thing that keeps you together, the group.
Thanks a lot for sharing your thoughts, Helen and Matheus. I'll keep you posted with the relevant content. Have a wonderful start of the week :)
you have to make sure to be like jesus - everyone hate you but then worship you . and then give good knowledge everyone. and must be good man
