What CRM do you use and/or recommend for a healthcare services/special needs startup?

I am joining a startup and one of my immediate tasks is to lead the search for a lead tracking and CRM platform. Salesforce is an obvious choice, but we also want to consider some other options and we have found the following:

1. Zoho
2. Insightly
3. Pipedrive
4. Nutshell
5. HighRise

Is anyone using and/or recommends the above CRMs? Are there any others we should be considering? Ideally, we would like to use a platform that can easily be integrated with Unbounce or Wordpress.

I would take a look at Greenrope. The interface is a bit clunky but it does CRM, website integration AND lead nurturing for $149/month for up to 5,000 contacts. It is a great starter system and is integrated with Salesforce if you decide to go that way in the future. Salesforce is great but the price is very high and you will likely need to hire an expert to set it up. Figure on an upfront out of pocket of at least $10K just to get a 2-3 user system off the ground. As a startup I think your money is better spent elsewhere. Hi Justin, I see that you're looking for something simple that gives you the possibility to manage members very easy and I think that vCita can help you do that...

vCita integrates with almost every platform and you can also help others to use vCita if you want that, they have the solution provider feature for that.

It can also be installed as plugin on WordPress, if that's not possible you can use many other ways to get it running on your member's website or on your website, they also host a profile page for you with all the features integrated.

Best of all, it will integrate on Facebook, Tumblr, Blogger and many more social media sites and it helps you with tracking links in emails because they even have an autoresponder service integrated...

I'm using vCita for more than a year already on my home page and on my web 2.0 sites, in my emails and on my social media pages with success.

For most startups, SalesForce will be more expensive than necessary, so I would strongly consider what you're looking for before you buy it. Zoho offers a very robust set of features and a lot of customization for significantly less money per user than Salesforce.

It really depends on what you want to do with it. If you just want to track leads and manage your sales process, Insightly is an even less expensive product that is excellent at what it does. CRM is one of those things that's going to vary a lot depending on what the user needs to do with it, which is why there are so many CRM options on the market. More info here:

If it helps, most CRM you can try yourself before committing to a paid subscription. Personally, I would strongly encourage you to try before you buy with CRM. I would also have anyone else that will be using the software give it a shot.

I think there are two schools here. 

1. If you want a high converting lead gen program or a a traditional one. 

#1 Traditional one is where you buy a list and send newsletters, and emails of offers. 

#2. The high converting lead gen is where you do SEM, blogs, webinars and lives stream that produce leads that are deeper into the sales cycle.  

In the #2 version. You will want something that has a richer tagging system and a customized funnel to match each strategy created for your sales funnel. There are many different things that nurture or drive the sales funnel so, in this more complex system I would suggest active campaign, or get response, layered with infusionsoft. 

Then layer in webinar tools, get response has a webinar tool already imbedded and infusionsoft will allow the most complex funnels to be created so you are able to nurture each tagged set, no matter where the lead comes from or where they are in the buying cycle.  In #2, it means less cold leads, so you can plug this into sales force and directly to the sales team.

Justin, we have worked with Salesforce and a few of the other's you have listed. We also work with a number of the agents and broker's who are in the HealthCare Underwriting business. There are a few very industry specific solutions if that's the kind of group you are joining. I just wrapped up a discovery, planning, and implementation contract for a health care agency in St. Louis. We vetted out a several CRM's during the project and made recommendations for their agency, we will be implementing "with" their team. I wouldn't normally go straight to recommending and selecting a tool without doing a discovery and plan, but it sounds like this isn't your first rodeo. I attached a short case study, it's about the legal market although the client referral acquisition and onboarding processes are pretty similar in the healthcare space. Over the past year, we have migrated 4 of our Salesforce and Act-On Software client's into the SharpSpring solution.
