If you want a professional investor to write a check you need to convince them that you can get the job done.  I think that passion is over rated. Give me someone who can see the big picture and who can manage a team with the right technical skills. I think many founders can be passionate about getting it done. Convince me that you actually can.

Professional investors want a return on their investment so they look for:
  • A credible financial model that will meet or exceed their expectations for your industry.
  • A proven business model that can scale.
  • A team capable of execution.

Experience is always a must - and maturity that assures them you can ask for help when you need it. Presence is important because you will need to be the spiritual leader of your team. Honesty, about your limitations and you progress is crucial to establish trust. Dane Madsen 206.900.5852 Mobile Sent from my mobile device. Forgive typographical and grammatical errors.
