Zachary, allow me the opportunity to help you AND refer a friend's startup (TrustRadius).  HubSpot has a ton of reviews, as does the whole marketing automation segment.

Hi Zachary - my agency is a Hubspot partner. We've tried several other similar platforms in the past (Optify was a favorite before they shut down), and have done some testing with MindMatrix and now LeadSquared.
The level of support you'll receive from HS is far and away one of their better value props. Plus, they are constantly updating and upgrading software and features. All in all, we're well pleased.
I'm happy to discuss offline if you prefer.

Zachary... Looked at Hubspot for a long time to run the marketing front end and backendfor our website (www.CEOIQ.com) - was very concerned that they insist that host on their platform, which limits flexibility and control - makes it almost impossible to move if you scale big. Also did not like the 'contact count' basis for their fees. On the plus side, easy to use, lots of support from Hubspot, big user community, very well funded company. We first went with Ontraport (instead of Hubspot) for the flexibility and hosting on our own VPS...final landing place for us was Infusion Soft - been there about 18 months and very pleased... Hi Zachary, I've been a longtime HS customer (we signed up with them in 2009) and have used it for a long time. I agree with what Ben mentions above regarding their platform and some of the flexibility issues. Also, if you plan to integrate with a CRM, it can be very time-consuming for a resources-limited organization (startup or otherwise).
I have used several different tools in this space. Could you tell us a bit more about your goals and what you are hoping to use the platform for? I would be able to make a better recommendation if I knew what you were hoping to do with HS.

Zachary, I have worked with Hubspot for a couple of years as our main marketing and Analytics software and have been able to achieve very aggressive results. I recommend it. If you're using the events and flowcharts -- you can score leads and build custom campaigns that are tailored to customer properties and behavior (e.g a nurturing campaign is activated when user is using a specific feature) Gil
