I collated a list of non-profits that did direct mail, and I called all of them and sent them a free helpful kit of direct mail tools that would help them contact me to secure a quote for their next direct mail marketing effort. I made $90,000 the first year, as well as subsequent years. I called them, I also mailed them helpful things and offered to save them money to better help their mission statement.
